What Are Natural Wines?

All of the taste, none of the sulphites.

Good wine is a matter of taste, but better wine is a matter of how it makes you feel the day after. And that means honest-to-goodness fermented grape juice, and nothing else.

Our selection of high-quality natural wines come from different vineyards across France. The one thing they have in common is that they contain no added sulphites, additives, or any chemical substances usually found in conventional wine. These are carefully curated labels that use only grapes from organic or biodynamic farms, and natural yeasts in fermentation, with minimal intervention at bottling.

Some say that it’s the most traditional way of making wine. We call it the cleanest, most unadulterated wine that’s just better for you.

Most importantly, we believe that high quality natural wine doesn’t have to be expensive. And our prices don’t lie.

Certified vines, certified wines.

All our wines are certified natural, organic, and biodynamic. They don’t mean the same thing, but together, they mean one thing – pretty high standards. If you read the labels, you’ll find these stamps of quality, that
you should expect to see on any bottle of natural wine, be it from us or somewhere else. Don’t compromise on what you’re paying for.

Demeter
This represents the highest standards in sustainable, wholesome agriculture with a holistic, ecological and ethical approach. A brand that delivers on its promise of quality, this is a worldwide certification for
biodynamic and organically farmed produce. In other words, it’s better for our bodies and our environment.

Biodyvin
A union of winegrowers who apply biodynamic practices in farming to allow the vines to flourish in a well- preserved terroir, to let animal and plant life resume its place in the vineyard, and to protect the environment. Thus, the wines produced give full expression to the terroir, with optimised quality.

Natural
Certified no added sulphites. Wines with this on the label are as naked as can be. Conventional winemakers add sulphites during the bottling process as a preservative and enhancer, and to stop fermentation. However, sulphites can cause reactions in some people, which commonly affects breathing.

Natural wines are made to be drunk, not to be aged. Without preservatives, these wines are nature’s gifts, and are best consumed within 5 years.
