Red wine – 75cl bottle – AOP Côtes du Rhône Massif d'Uchaux – Serving temperature 15°C – Can be kept for around 5 years
Grapes: Grenache and Mourvèdre
Terroir: These are moderately steep clay-limestone soils with a southern exposure. The vines are young (20 years old).
Vinification and aging: For this cuvée we carried out a vinification with carbonic maceration in order to express all the aromatic potential of this cuvée.
Tasting: the dress is very dark purple, not very translucent. The nose is fine, on blackberry jam and sweet spices. The palate combines fullness and tension, with an invisible thread that stretches the wine while offering a dense and ripe, velvety substance, underlined by a strong minerality that brings sap and depth. The tension continues on the finish, the minerality too, even more "stony", on ripe black fruits and spices, with a persistence on chalk, pepper and bay leaf.
